Smokey von Sjoerd is a beautiful 4 year old German Sherpherd. This distinguished fellow with the ear-tipping hello is such a sweetheart. He walks well on the leash and has a nice, mellow, medium-energy level, but would rather not walk closely with other dogs. Smokey will benefit in a home willing to give him guidance, as he can fret about new situations and might need some positive encouragement. He very much wants to be around his people and spend the rest of his life in a home with lots of cuddles and few worries. Smokey would like a home without another dog, as the stress of living in the kennel with so many other doggies has made him prefer to be alone with his humans. On the occasions where he starts being too nosy or confident around another dog, he listens to instruction to back off and then settles into a nice romp in the play yard with his tail wagging all the way, so Smokey would definitely do well with an experienced owner who knows how to help him be his best around his furry friends. Smokey has lived quite a life already, but he is looking forward to a completely new life doing what he loves best -- being at your side and keeping an eye on your family, playing fetch for hours and being your best bud.
